FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best way to heat a pool?

There are many ways to heat a swimming pool, including heat pumps, solar heating, pool covers, boilers, infrared heating, and warm air heating for indoor pools. The most efficient and cost-effective approach will depend on the nature of your pool.

How much does it cost to heat a swimming pool?

In the UK, the cost of heating a swimming pool will depend on current electricity and gas prices, your pool heating systems, and environmental factors. Many heat pumps will display a coefficient of performance (CoP) that establishes how much heat (kW) is generated for the amount of energy (kW) used. The Mr Perfect heat pump has a CoP range of 7-16, meaning it can generate up to 16kW of heat for every 1kW of energy.

How long will it take a heat pump to heat up my pool?

It can take several hours for a heat pump to heat a pool to the desired temperature. However, the time taken will be influenced by the size and depth of the pool, heating systems, and starting temperature of the water.
